HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN RADIO?
This career picked me! I have been DJing weddings, parties & at roller rinks since the age of 13. I knew a couple of people in radio, but never asked them about their careers. I went into the Army after high school, where I broke my ankle & was sent home. I had to find a career, so I looked into radio & have been in the business now 17yrs! I started out in Chicago & have worked for stations in Kenosha WI, Laurel MS, Sparta & La Crosse WI, Jackson TN & in Lincoln NE. I have found my radio home here at WJVL!
Bow Hunting, fishing with my daughters, gun hunting, date nights with my wife, just spending time with my family, my daughters & I taking walks in the woods & playing sports
FAVORITE COUNTRY ARTISTS:
This is an unfair question! I listen to a lot of country acts, some main stream & others on the Texas music scene & others people have never heard of. I am a fan of Country music!
WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING IF YOU WEREN’T IN RADIO?
Great question…. Probably a cable or cleaning horse stalls!
To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy.
But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that’s a full day. That’s a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you’re going to have something special.
