Benefit For Alicia

July 23, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

| 7.00/adult 5.00/kids

Benefit to help pay for medical expenses for 9 year old Alicia Hill. Alicia has an incurable condition called Hypermobility Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Type III. This is a connective tissue disorder that is affecting all her joints and several of her organs. Because of the EDS Alicia has developed Gastroparesis which means her stomach is paralyzed and has a hard time processing food which has caused Alicia to require periodic feeding tubes. The EDS has also caused Alicia to have POTS and Autonomic Neuropathy which make it hard for Alicia to control her temperature and feels dizzy among other symptoms. Alicia also suffers from Pseudo-Obstruction which basically means her intestines shut down, her abdomen becomes very distended and is extremely painful. Alicia is in pain everyday and there is no cure for any of the conditions Alicia has. Alicia will require continued medical care and insurance only covers so much. A benefit is being held at the Izaak Walton League on July 23, 2016 from 12pm-6pm to help the Hill family with there mounting medical expenses. There will be a buffet style lunch, dessert sale, 50/50 raffles, bucket raffles, kids games, and an auction. Cost of buffet will be $7/adult and $5/kids.
