Swingin' 4th
Junior finished his warm up swing looking like a pro on the 1st Tee Box wearing his John Tesh concert tee-shirt. I kept an eye on the boy while digging for some balls in my golf bag. "Whack!" was the sound as his club made contact with the ball. It sure sounded good, but Junior pushed it to the right of the fairway. Andy was next up on number 1 at Bass Creek Golf Course dressed up like his idol Payne Stewart. He flew one out to the right too. Big Red hit his so hard and high I thought it would bring rain. I stood ready to give may ball a ride. The first tee is always the toughest for me. I told myself to swing nice and easy. I did just that and sent it out to the middle of the fairway.
There's nothing like playing golf on the 4th of July. I was looking forward to playing with the guys and having some fun. We were half way through the first hole and it was already like a Dean Martin Comedy Roast. Junior was laughing so hard he had Sundrop coming out of his nose. That was after dunking 2 shots in a row in the water. He was able to recover and using the Lonestar Scoring System was able to bogey the hole?
As we continued the round I noticed Big Red was getting into a "zone" as they say in the sports world. He was almost knocking the cover off the ball on the tee. His short game was on and the boy was putting like a champion. I'm glad he brought his "A" game to play because Junior and Andy were racking up some low numbers using this new so-called Lonestar System? (later I found out it was a method of scoring much like Wiggy's so-called "Foot Wedge")

Thank goodness for the Lonestar scoring system or else we would've never been able to keep up with Red.
By the way, Sundrop out the nose screws up the sinuses so I wouldn't recommend it. But golf anyday with you three... heck yes. HEEYAH!
