When You Say Wisconsin...

When you say Wisconsin, you've said it all! Just ask Outdoor Life Magazine. Many Wisconsin towns named in the Top 200 Places to live for Hunters & Anglers.

The April 2008 issue of Outdoor Life Magazine recently named The Best Places To Live - The Top 200 Towns for Hunters & Anglers.

Wisconsin didn't make the Top 10, but we did make the Top 100 and beyond. Personally, I think Wisconsin should have been in the top 20.

Here's the Top 10:

  1. Mountain Home, Arkansas

  2. Lewiston, Idaho

  3. Sheridan, Wyoming

  4. Cody, Wyoming

  5. Pocatello, Idaho

  6. Lewistown, Montana

  7. Marquette, Michigan

  8. Dillon, Montana

  9. Page, Arizona

  10. Bismarck, North Dakota

Here's how Wisconsin ranked:

48. Prairie du Chien, WI

51. Rhinelander, WI

57. Green Bay, WI

58. Ashland, WI

102. Stevens Point, WI.

I'm surprised Eagle River, WI didn't make the Top 200 list. Any towns you think should have been named? Have you ever been to any of these towns hunting or fishing.

Remember to pass it on...take a kid hunting or fishing today.

I'm amazed that Tomahawk wasn't on the list. That is where a lot of the hunters end up going anyway. I've never heard of hunters hunting in Prairie du Chien. Better deer are in the Northwoods.
