Life In A Northern Town (video)

WJVL recently added a new song to our playlist that you've been requesting for a couple weeks now.

It's the song "Life In A Northern Town" by Sugarland, featuring Little Big Town and Jake Owen. Some of you may know this song. It's a remake of the 80's hit by The Dream Academy.

By the way, you can find out when Sugarland, Little Big Town and Jake Owen will be in concert this summer on our Fairs & Festivals Page.

Speaking of requests...I get the feeling there just isn't a way to please everyone. (I should know this already) Lately I've been getting phone calls saying we "only play new music." Or that we're playing "too much old country." Well which is it? What do you want? I know for a fact that Ken Scott spends a lot of time with the music and tries to make our rotation of songs a very good "VARIETY" of New and Old.

We've even dedicated a whole day to "Classic", or Old School Country as some may like to call it, with our Sunday programming. The WJVL Country Hall of Fame 6a - 12p. And Retro Sunday (70's - 90's) from 12p - 5p.

We give you "new" music every Friday night on WJVL's Hot Hits @ 6.

And you get MORE VARIETY every Thursday during our "WJVL No Repeat Thursdays."

So what can we do as a radio station to serve you the listener better?

If you have music suggestions, contact our Program/Music Director Ken Scott and thanks for listening to 99.9 WJVL!

In the mean time enjoy this YouTube video of the song you asked for!
