Rhonda Vincent

Rhonda Vincent

By Justin Brown ( Contact )   March 31, 2008

I love all kinds of music. My true love is of course, is Country music. But I'll listen to Oldies, 80-90s Rock, just about anything. I also love Bluegrass.

I'm not sure how I got into Bluegrass music. Maybe it's the fact that the Hodag Country Festival in Rhinelander would often bring in Bluegrass artists to mix in with the Country acts of the festival.

Plus I just love the sound of a banjo or a mandolin. Maybe that's why I enjoyed Diamond Rio's sound so much when they hit country radio in the 90's.

When I say "Bluegrass" many people immediately think of Alison Krauss. Alison is wonderful, but do you know about Rhonda Vincent? She is a Multi-Award Winner and Grammy Nominee. She has won countless Bluegrass Music Awards.

I'd love to see a venue in the WJVL listening area bring her in for a show. I think it would be worthwhile!
