The scar on the bottom of my chin.

The scar on the bottom of my chin.

By Mike Austin ( Contact )   December 4, 2007

We all go through life with scrapes, cuts, bumps and dings. Now that I'm in my mid-40's...ALL those old injuries are coming back to haunt me! However, the small scar just under the bottom of my chin has never given me a problem (except maybe when I shave). It is one I'm kinda proud of though. That's the scrape I got when I took the ramp I built for my bike, a little too fast. it was the early 70's and my bike was a COOL short chopper with a banana seat (not ideal for jumping). I WAS EVEL KNIEVEL! So when I heard about his passing, I immediately flashed on that memory of ramping my bike off just about anything that could get me airborn! God Bless Evel Knievel. Wish I had that old Evel Knievel lunchbox my buddy John had.

Sad that Evel is gone.

But now you can say you've got a chin scar like Indiana Jones!
