Lemonaide Stand Time!

Lemonaide Stand Time!

By Mike Austin ( Contact )   June 23, 2009

I can still see the beat up old desk that my Mom let me use for my lemonaide stand. I only did it once when I was about 6 or 7 years old and I think I only made a couple of dollars (hard to build up capital when your product is only 10 cents). But, it was my first business experience and having that cash that I earned, was a thrill! Last year I told the story to my kids and they too wanted to have a lemonaide stand, but we never got around to it. Now, with the weather we've been having, I will find the time to help them put together a lemonaide stand and watch from a distance as they interact with each other to get the best results. I think the price has gone up from when I was a kid. So what's your lemonaide stand story?

My Lemonade Stand expirence hasn't change much through the years, still just a 5 gal water cooler hanging on the side of truck, wagon, 4x4, buggy. I had good times, but never a 'typical' Lemonade Stand expirence.

we had it perfect growing up. our road was being redone one summer and we set up a stand in front of our house. by the 3rd day we were selling the guys thier whole lunch. we had sandwiches, lemonaide, popsicles, and chips. we made a ton of money that summer. and as they got further down the road we would move the stand right along with them.
