Fish Belly White

Fish Belly White

By Tim Beggs ( Contact )   March 24, 2008

After dinner we enjoyed a nightcap or 2 and I fired up a fine Dominican cigar. It's great to be on vacation I remember thinking. I've never traveled like this in the middle of winter, but I'm already thinking that it's a great time to go somewhere warm when Wisconsin is freezing and dealing with too much snow. Kathleen and I had talked about tanning a little before we left. We didn't want to look too pale on the beach, but that never happened and I was almost "fish belly white." We were scheduled to have a brief orientation at 10am. It was an opprtunity to get more familiar with the resort and ask any questions we might of had. We failed to wake up early enough for the meeting, heck I didn't even wake up until noon. We decided to get some breakfast.......I mean lunch and see the rest of the resort. We were looking for some paintings for our home and heard of a little place on the beach. We checked out what Julio (a really nice guy) had at his place and found what we were looking for. We had one more thing to accomplish and it was now time to show off my "fish belly white" tan on the beach. What do you expect, there's not too many people with golden tans in February in Wisconsin. I was kind of proud of my pale white arms and legs. A day or 2 in that tropical paradise had me nice and red. It was late in the afternoon so we had little trouble finding some quality beach space. As I laid there soaking up the sun looking at the ocean I couldn't help but think about those Corona Beer commercials............yes sir by golly I was in the middle one. Image
