From sequins to camouflage, Dallas Remington is a country artist who knows who she is and what she wants! Dallas is a Kentucky girl with a passion for life, music, and her faith. Currently, she is working diligently to establish herself as a country music artist. Her passion for playing the guitar and performing began at an early age, around nine years old. Now at the age of 18, Dallas travels and sings at fairs, festivals, churches, and various music venues. Dallas says “Singing will always be a part of me. Whether I’m singing at church, on the street, on a flatbed trailer, or somewhere in Nashville, I love every minute”. Dallas performs a variety of songs, from her originals like “Found Her Freedom” and “Hit The Dirt”, to covers of new country artists such as Miranda Lambert and Thomas Rhett. Dallas also loves to perform traditional country songs from artists such as Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, as well as southern gospel and classic ROCK!
Here are a few facts about Dallas Remington. Dallas is a member of the Country Music Association, BMI; the Nashville Song Writer’s Association International; the Volunteer Country Bluegrass Music Association; and The Nashville Spotlight Family. She has won several awards with the North American Country and Gospel Music Association International, including Entertainer of the Year 2015 ages 13-17, New Country Songwriter of the Year for “Hit THe Dirt”, and Contemporary Christian Songwriter of the Year for “Tattooed Heart”. Also, Dallas was awarded the Female Instrumentalist of Year 2013 ages 13-17. Dallas has appeared on several episodes of the Nashville Spotlight Television Show, The Isle of Hope Televison Show, and is a guest artist for Nashville Spotlight showcases. Recently, Dallas appeared on WEPG ‘s Music on the Menu and Mary Kutter’s Country Music Hour at BRTV. Dallas plays a variety of instuments with guitar and bass as her primary focus.
Music has allowed Dallas to travel and perform in many places, but one that is especially close to her heart is her mininstry outreach. About five years ago, Dallas established “Melody for the Elderly”. She performs at long-term care and assisted-living facilities. Dallas enjoys her ministry and says that it is a blessing to her. She has made some amazing friendships and great memories with some very special people. In 2014, Dallas was awarded the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities Youth Volunteer of the Year Award.
