
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is launching a master’s program for elementary and middle school education this fall. Associate Dean of the College of Education and Professional Studies Andrea Ednie says they hope this degree will address a critical need for elementary and middle school teachers. Associate Professor Yao Fu [[ yow foo ]] says the curriculum for this two-year, online, asynchronous program includes courses in teaching mathematics, social studies, fine arts, science, and a full-time semester-long student teaching placement. Applications are currently be accepted for the program, which is pending final approval from the state’s Department of Public Instruction.
