Janesville Little Theatre presents LOMBARDI
This is a look inside the Lombardi household and into the locker room and sidelines of a team driven to excel by a man driven to succeed. Told from the perspective of Michael McCormick, a reporter from Look Magazine that Lombardi agreed to allow on his practice field and in his locker room and his home. Lombardi, the son of an Italian immigrant butcher, spent twenty years as a high school coach and as an assistant at Fordham, West Point, and the New York Giants before his big break in 1959 at age 46 with the chance to coach a losing team in snowbound Wisconsin. This is Lombardi the coach, the man, the legend.
