The Rock County Council on Aging in partnership with the Rock County Caregiver Resource Network will present its annual event for family caregivers entitled “Music and Rejuvenation”. It will be held at Rotary Gardens, 1455 Palmer Drive, Janesville on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.

This event is for those individuals and families who are caring for loved ones who are dealing with issues associated with aging, dementia or disability. Those who will benefit from attending are family caregivers who come with their family support team and friends, employed family caregivers and grandparents raising grandchildren. This event will provide family caregivers time to relax and pamper themselves with time for rejuvenation.

The event will feature Karen Wickham, A Patsy Cline Tribute artist. Her songs and music style are inspired by women like Patsy Cline, the Judds and Tammy Wynette. Uplifting music and fun will fill the session.

The cost is $10.00 per person. Pre-registration and payment before the event is required. Refreshments are included. Scholarships, transportation and respite services available to those who qualify.

There will be two sessions: 2:00 pm or 5:30 pm. Each session will last about two hours.

Family caregivers are encouraged to register with a friend or a supportive family member.
