Downtown Beloit Association’s 5th Annual Oktoberfest will take place Friday, September 22, in historic downtown Beloit from 5:30-11:00 pm. Hundreds of locals and visitors will fill the 300 block of State St. to enjoy several types of beer, live music, food, and more! Admission for the event is $5 for adults, $1 for children 4-12, under 4 are free.
The opening band, Killer Cars, will perform at 5:30 p.m. Their show is all about fun, upbeat, dance-able tunes that most people haven’t heard played by other cover bands. Their songs include hits from the 70’s 80’s 90’s and today. Afterwards, headliner Cold Sweat & the Brew City Horns will perform. Cold Sweat is Wisconsin’s premier show band, featuring some of the area’s best musicians, multiple dynamic vocalists and the renowned three piece horn section, the Brew City Horns. Cold Sweat’s energy, talent and non-stop fun will infect you until you can’t help joining in. Their ultimate strength is their versatility, playing dance-able music that draws from many genres and eras – truly providing that rare “something for everyone” appeal.
