Chris Lytle, best-selling author of The Accidental Salesperson and The Accidental Sales Manager, was born in Newark, Ohio, and graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College with a political science degree in 1972. After working as an intern in Congress, Lytle returned to Newark, where he hoped to secure a news position at a local radio station. Instead, he was offered a sales job, which he accepted, changing the course of his career forever. Lytle started his own business in 1982 and has spent the last thirty-five years delivering domestic and international seminars to salespeople and their managers. He has offered training to Fortune 500 companies and start-ups in the technical, financial, and service industries. Lytle now lives in Chicago, Illinois, with his business partner and wife, Sarah McCann.
