With grace and elegance, spunk and determination, country recording artist Macy Martin’s Texas upbringing has certainly influenced her sound – especially where it pertains to her voice. Her pure, angelic tone and perfectly controlled vibrato pairs with an energy and power sure to turn heads and hearts. With a flexibility and unparalleled ability to transcend genres, Martin, along with her latest album release, “Find My Melody”, continues to make a memorable mark on Music City.

Growing up on her parents’ ranch, Martin’s earliest musical memories date back to when she was 6-years-old, entertaining for the Miss America Organization’s Miss Texas pageant during their preliminary intermissions. At the age of 13, she began singing the National Anthem at her school’s sporting events and it didn’t take long for other businesses and organizations to recognize and seek Martin’s talents. She soon began performing at events for the Special Olympics, Texas Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House, among others.

Booking with local venues, events, festivals and fairs, Martin connected with other artists and members of the Texas music industry, opening doors to other musical opportunities. In high school, she joined Senior Chorale, advancing quickly and making Texas All State Division One as a first soprano. In 2013, Martin released “Just Beginning Vol. 1”, covering tunes by famous country songwriters. She also completed a six-song EP “Just Beginning Vol. 2”, comprised of duets in the bluegrass and Celtic gospel songs – all recorded in Dallas, TX.

Through this two-volume collection, Martin’s raw talent was discovered by Kent Wells (producer, Dolly Parton). Wells began nurturing her gifts in musicianship and soon released Martin’s debut, self-titled EP. Her first single, fresh, pop country tune “Me With You” (co-written with fellow writer Bill DiLuigi) made it to #51 on the MusicRow Country Breakout chart. The follow-up to her self-titled EP, “Find My Melody”, was also produced by Wells and released in early March, 2015. The first single off the album, Back to Reality, hit #57 on the MusicRow Country Breakout Chart, and the video for the single, directed by Adrian David Payne and the Cox Brothers, was picked up by Great American Country (GAC), ZUUS Country, and several other regional networks nationwide. Her latest single, “Heart Sleeve Soul”, released in June 2016 and was Martin’s highest charting single yet, landing at #37 on the MusicRow chart. Her new single “Broke Down” released to radio in early March and is already climbing the charts.

Despite an endlessly busy schedule, Martin continues to focus on the very thing that continues to drive her passion and career – faith and philanthropy. She uses her musical platform to give back, promoting her non-profit, Macy’s Toy Box, which collects new or gently used toys year-round to ensure all children experience the joy she did as a child. Additionally, Martin released Tumbles the Bear – a stuffed bear that fans can purchase and keep or choose to donate back, with all proceeds going to purchasing new toys for the organization.
