Hi, I’m Amanda! I love the color yellow, whales, and jellybeans. If I’m not working I’m usually listening to music, writing, or painting. I’m also really good at finding the big dipper and any of the Super Mario games.
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN RADIO?
I technically started in my bedroom where I would pause my CD player and pretend to intro it like I was on the air. When I got to high school I began working at the UW-Whitewater campus station. A few years later when I started school at UWW I became the first freshman Station Manager, a position I held until I graduated. After working for stations in Fort Atkinson, I’m excited to be here with Big Radio!
HOBBIES:
I love to write, paint and play video games.
FAVORITE “CELEBRITY” ENCOUNTER:
At Taylor Swift’s 2012 RED Tour, she held my hand and told me she loved me! Just a few short years later I was kicked off of her hotel floor by her security team after the 1989 World Tour., but that’s a story for another day.
FAVORITE COUNTRY ARTIST:
Luke Bryan! He doesn’t have a song I don’t like.
