Restaurant coworkers buy a car for one of their dishwashers after his car was stolen.
Kea Senegal had saved up earnings from his job at Ruffino’s on the River in Lafayette, Louisiana. When his car was stolen, his general manager Chris Muffoletto held a team meeting asking staff if they would pitch in.
“Everyone was 100 percent onboard,” Muffoletto said. “It took three days to raise $2,500. Then, the people at Don’s Wholesale found out what we were doing and matched the funds. Their generosity was instrumental in this – they should get as much credit as anyone.”
