Country icon Pam Tillis shared the soulful title track off her forthcoming album, Looking for a Feeling. Rolling Stone says the song boasts “a bit of Muscle Shoals-style country-soul in the key of Bobbie Gentry.” The outlet also raves, “The production provides Tillis with enough space for an expressive vocal performance that ranges from a Dylanesque tumble of words to the gritty gospel soul of Mavis Staples.” Meanwhile, Tillis says about the track, “’Looking for a Feeling’ is a song I excavated with Waylon Payne one dreary February day. It’s a non-judgmental look at a cast of spiritually adrift characters just trying to get right. Those characters, that searching—I see parts of myself in all of them.” Looking for a Feeling will arrive on April 24 and will be her first album since her 2012 indie LP, Recollections. She’ll be at Country Thunder in Twin Lakes this July.
