Ingrid Andress is following up her debut #1 single, “More Hearts Than Mine,” with the release of her latest track, “The Stranger.” The tune, co-written by Andress and Ryan Lafferty, is one of eight tracks featured on her debut album, Lady Like, which arrived on March 27. “‘The Stranger’ is about how love is actually really hard when it’s real,” Andress says in a statement. “I feel like Disney movies trick us into believing that love is this really easy thing, and it’s not, and you have to work at it, and sometimes you forget why you’re in love with somebody.” In addition to “More Hearts Than Mine” hitting #1, Lady Like previously set a record for the all-time highest streaming debut album from a female country artist.
