The campaign to re-elect President Donald Trump opens a physical office space in downtown Janesville.

The Rock County Republican Party held a grand opening party Saturday for the new Trump Victory office at 19 North High Street, part of the Land Title and Closing Services building along West Centerway Street.

Congressman Bryan Steil was the keynote speaker, joined by state representative Amy Loudenbeck and state senator Steve Nass along with Republican legislative candidates on the upcoming November ballot.

Steil emphasized the stakes of election at both the federal and state level, with a desire to defeat Joe Biden and flip the Democrat-controlled 43rd, 44th and 45th Assembly Districts in Rock County.

“We have the right message,” Steil said. “We want to defeat the coronavirus. We want to make sure that we rebuild this economy to get everybody back to work that wants a job, and we stand with law enforcement.”

Rock County Republican Party Chairman Jay Mielke announced his group also signed a lease for another new Republican party office at 430 East Grand Avenue in Beloit.
