New at Noon – Clare Dunn “Holding Out For A Cowboy”

“Holding Out For A Cowboy” is the latest single from Clare Dunn’s new In This Kind of Light EP available everywhere now.
The soulful track, which Dunn produced herself and co-wrote alongside Whitney Phillips (Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Kylie Minogue), tosses aside the romantic players and sets the bar a little higher for future relationships, as the Colorado native cranks up the raw side of her “lovely voice” (New York Times Popcast) and adds a smooth rock flare to her country roots with John Mayer-esque guitar slides.
“This song is all about having the courage to hold out for the right thing,” Dunn explains. “Like a lot of us, this past year was one of reflection and realization. The things a cowboy represents: loyalty, steadfastness, strength, and so much more, still hold true and I think matter more now than ever. Whether you’re from the city, or the country, I hope you find your cowboy.”
“Holding Out For A Cowboy” follows in the footsteps of Dunn’s latest “heart wrenching” (Sounds Like Nashville) tune, “How It Comes Off” – both of which are set to be featured on her forthcoming ‘In This Kind Of Light’ EP, which was released August 13th via Big Yellow Dog Music.
