Beloit police are investigating a bank robbery on the city’s east side. Officers were called to First Mid-Bank and Trust on Cranston Road a little after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Officials say a masked man wearing a hooded sweatshirt entered the bank with a bag and demanded cash. The robber escaped on foot. His mask and hooded sweatshirt were found among trees behind the bank. No one was hurt.
