A February 11th sentencing date is set for a 23-year-old Janesville man who admitted to shooting the mother of his child and leaving her for dead back in April.

Logan Barclay plead guilty Friday in Rock County Court to a single count of first-degree intentional homicide as domestic abuse.

While the charge carries a mandatory life sentence, both sides will be free to argue whether Barclay will ever be eligible for supervised release.

According to the criminal complaint, Barclay went on a walk with the victim, 22-year-old Kiersten Hansen, along the Peace Trail in Janesville the night of April 16th, and then shot her in the stomach over an argument about her possibly being pregnant again.

Barclay was being held in the Rock County Jail on a $1 million cash bond, however Judge Kuglitsch revoked that bond on Friday.
