Five newcomers and an incumbent will be in the race for three Janesville School Board seats this spring.

Michelle Haworth’s spot is up for reelection, and she’ll be looking to keep it.

Board members Cathy Myers and Jim Millard will not run again this year.

The five others joining Haworth in the race are Veronica Hereford, Cory James, Tyra Johnson, Colton Measner and Julie Richardson. At least two of them will win a seat.

In the Beloit School Board race, there will be at least one new board member after the vote on April 1.

Incumbents Megan Miller and Gregg Schneider will be joined on the ballot by Bill Johnson, Kenda Roman, Juan Romero and JoAnne Ruch.

Brian Anderson decided not to run for reelection.

The deadline for people to file candidacy paperwork was Tuesday.

Because of incorrect information provided to Big Radio, an earlier version of this story included an incorrect first name for Veronica Hereford.
