An inmate at the Rock County Jail is arrested for assaulting another inmate.
In looking at the details of a report from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, it appears the incident took place Monday morning in a unit where people suspected of sex crimes or child abuse are being held.
Nearly two dozen inmates are mentioned in the report. Nearly all of the them are either suspected of or have been convicted of child abuse, or sex crimes.
The victim is listed as being 36-years-old.
The suspect is 34-year-old Michael Evers of Beloit. Evers is currently being held in the Rock County Jail on a $30,000 cash bond after being charged last month with two counts of child enticement, exposing genitals to a child, two counts of sexual intercourse with a child 16 or older, and possession of child pornography.
