Authorities say they had to deploy a S.W.A.T. team in Janesville on Sunday to bring in a man they say was wanted on warrants out of Janesville and Beloit.
Janesville police say 39-year-old Janesville resident Justin Gillespie is now in jail on counts of manufacture and delivery of cocaine, child neglect, retail theft and bail jumping.
Police say they caught up with Gillespie at a residence in the 2000 block of South Osbourne Avenue on Janesville’s south side on Sunday. They say he was not cooperating with police and wouldn’t come out of a house, so eventually police sent in a S.W.A.T. officers to arrest Gillespie.
Court records show Gillespie has had a long history of arrests and has been incarcerated in the past in a series of drug offenses and thefts. He is now being held at Rock County jail.
