A Rockford man who was rescued by Beloit Police faces an OWI charge after he drove his vehicle into the Rock River.  Beloit police say officers responded early Sunday to the area of Liberty Avenue and Third Street on a report of a vehicle driving into the water.  Two officers entered the water to help the lone man trapped in a Jeep, which was about 40 yards into the river and sinking.  After the Jeep was fully submerged, the driver was able to break a window before an officer helped push him to shore.  He was then arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense.
