The Rock County Medical Examiner is releasing the name of the 58-year-old Milton man who died following a three-vehicle crash on Monday in Beloit.
Beloit Police say the crash happened just after 7:00 p.m in the 14-hundred block of Madison Road.
Investigation determined a blue sedan rear-ended a tan sedan driven by Jay Wood, causing it to veer into oncoming traffic, where it was hit by another vehicle.
Wood was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office says preliminary results of a forensic evaluation confirm that Wood died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver of the blue sedan was cited for following too closely, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and no vehicle registration.
Further charges could be pending.
