The Beloit Art Center is celebrating a milestone this year.
A 25th anniversary exhibition at the center’s gallery at 520 E. Grand Ave. and will open Friday night with a reception from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be light refreshments available and a talk given by some of the artists featured in the exhibit.
The gallery will be open during its regular hours through July 24. The anniversary exhibit is comprised of nearly 100 pieces from about 50 artists. The works span the 25-year history of the art center.
Another part of the anniversary celebration will be a new “Super-Hero Turtle” mural on the building’s back wall. The center is planning a mural unveiling party on July 19.
