A 33-year-old Beloit man who sold cocaine laced with fentanyl will spend seven years behind bars.
Tadereal Tavarres plead guilty last July to two counts of manufacture or delivery of cocaine – second and subsequent offense.
Judge Karl Hanson dismissed but read into the record four counts of manufacture or delivery of fentanyl and two counts of manufacture or delivery of cocaine.
According to online court records, in addition to the prison time, Judge Hanson sentenced Tavarres Thursday morning to three years of extended supervision and three years of probation.
According to the criminal complaint, Tavarres sold drugs to a confidential informant on at least three occasions. At the time Tavarres was on probation for a previous drug-dealing conviction.
Tavarres was already in prison after having his probation revoked in the previous case.
