A Rock County Judge issues an arrest warrant for a 20-year-old Rockford man accused of stalking an elderly Janesville couple as they ran errands in December of 2021 before robbing them of their vehicle, wallet, cellphone, and checkbook at gunpoint.
Edolo Gary is charged in Rock County Court with armed robbery, three counts of physical abuse of an elderly person, and stalking.
According to the criminal complaint, Janesville detectives determined that on the day of the robbery, two suspects first noticed the victims while they were shopping at Woodman’s. The suspects followed the victims as they left Woodman’s and went to Walgreens, and then to their home on Tisbury Drive.
Once at their home, the suspects threatened the victims and struck a 65-year-old woman in the head several times before taking off with their vehicle and valuables.
Police later recovered the vehicle in Rockford and submitted fingerprints to the State Crime Lab which got a hit to Gary in August of last year.
