Sheryl Crow is bringing Johnny Cash back to life this week in a new version of her 1996 track “Redemption Day.” Crow re-recorded the song, which appeared on her second studio album, adding Cash’s vocals from a cover he recorded of the track in 2003 shortly before he died… for his 2010 LP, American VI: Ain’t No Grave. The recording will also appear on her upcoming album of collaborations, which she previously revealed would be her final LP.
