Sam Hunt’s out with new music for the first time in nearly two years after dropping his latest single “Kinfolks” on Thursday evening. Billboard calls the three-minute track an “infectious jam” that reunites Hunt with frequent songwriting collaborators Zach Crowell, Jerry Flowers and Josh Osborne. Meanwhile, Rolling Stone notes it’s the country hunk’s first new music since putting out the single “Downtown’s Dead” in May 2018. Hunt has said frequently over the past few months that he’s readying the followup to his 2014 LP Montevallo for a 2020 release.
