Runnin’ Shine’s new single “You And Sunscreen” lets you sit back and imagine you are on a sunny beach with no cares for the day. Just like that jar your buddy has under the floorboard of his truck, Runnin’ Shine will hit you hard with a good time you won’t soon forget!
Formed in 2015, Runnin’ Shine is a hot, seasoned country act hailing from Virginia by way of Alabama, New York, and New Hampshire. They have honed their stage show as a four-piece comprised of Janice Chandler (vocals and acoustic guitar), Richie Bohr (lead electric guitar), Bill Snow (drums), and Jim Cahoon (bass). Their thoughtful originals and seamless mashups culminate in a style they call “rage country”, which is country with a gritty rock-and-roll swagger.
Runnin’ Shine’s sophomore album, Nowhere To Go, is a product of their creativity from the pandemic as a result of sitting around with nowhere to go. The group was named Veer Magazine’s 2019/2020 Country Artist of the Year and were also Great American Songwriting Finalists. Runnin’ Shine’s first full-length album, So There We Were, included their single “Shotgun” which peaked at #40 on the Music Row CountryBreakout chart.
