City Council races heat up in Beloit and Janesville

Their are no shortage of candidates seeking seats on the Janesville and Beloit City Councils this April.

In Janesville, six people are seeking four open seats. They include incumbents Heather Miller, Michael Jackson and Richard Neeno, and newcomers Jack Herndon, Michael Cass and Josh Erdman.

City Clerk-Treasurer Lori Stottler says Council President Dave Marschick is not seeking re-election.

In Beloit there are five people seeking three open seats. They include incumbents Yusuf Adama, Sherry Blakeley and Nancy Forbeck, and newcomers Lori Marshall and Kim Nightingale Schneider.

The election is April first.
