Banned Book Discussion with the Director of the Hedberg Public Library

The Director of the Hedberg Public Library will speak to us about their process for choosing books, as well as the policy for addressing any objections or challenges that may arise from the community.

Over the past few months, the movement to censor school libraries has shifted to public libraries as well. State and local governments are putting into place increasingly restrictive rules for what libraries can offer to children, and other citizens as well. Some are even targeting librarians with harsh fines and imprisonment for breaking the rules. This trend is no less alarming for being preposterous.
