Socialization Not Isolation, Building Stronger Connections
July 14 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
FreeLet’s face it — loneliness can sneak up on anyone, and it’s more than just a feeling. Social isolation has been linked to declining health, increased stress, and even a shorter lifespan. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Join us for a powerful and practical session led by Wendy Bianchetti, Community Health Worker with SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Janesville. Wendy brings both personal experience and professional insight to the topic, sharing real-world ways to stay connected, supported, and thriving — especially as we age.
Whether you’re looking to stay active in your community, help a loved one, or find support for yourself, this free session will give you helpful tools and introduce you to local resources that can make a difference.
What to expect:
Insightful conversation about the impacts of loneliness on health
Strategies for staying socially engaged
Local resources that can help you or someone you care about
A welcoming, supportive space to connect
About the speaker:
Wendy is a lifelong Janesville resident with more than 30 years in education and a heart for older adults. Inspired by caring for her own parents, she now champions senior wellness through fall prevention programs, health education, and community outreach at SSM Health.
