Born in Mobile, Alabama, he calls home, Nacogdoches, Texas. His story began with his Grandfather, who was roommates with the legendary Hank Williams Sr.. Following in his Grandfathers footsteps, Derek learned guitar, and eventually moved to Nashville to pursue his dream. Standing at a meager 6’ 5”, he is an Army Veteran and his ‘comeback’ story will inspire you and his music will strike a chord somewhere between your heart and the highway.
