The Unsinkable Reba McEntire? The country legend revealed on Thursday’s Watch What Happens Live that she was originally offered the part of Molly Brown that ultimately went to Kathy Bates in the 1997 blockbuster Titanic. “We were on tour and I had a lot of people on the payroll and we had these three months to do the movie,” McEntire explained during a game called “The McEntire Truth.” She continued, “And then they got behind on scheduling and said, ‘No, we’re going to have to move it in this time.’ So we couldn’t reschedule all the arenas and everything.” When Andy Cohen asked if it “killed” her a little to miss out on a role in one of the biggest movies ever, she replied, “Absolutely! But you gotta take care of your people.”
