Texas man takes plea deal in child sexual assault case

A 20-year-old from Texas who traveling to Janesville to have sex with a 15-year-old after meeting them in an online “furry” community takes a plea deal in Rock County Court.

According to online court records Landon Fisher plead guilty Friday morning to child enticement and no contest for three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault.

He was originally charged with second-degree sexual assault of a child and child enticement.

Judge John Wood held open his finding of guilt on the child enticement charge but found Fisher guilty of the sexual assault charges. He was sentenced to three years of probation and a year in the Rock County Jail. He’s already served 145 days.

According to the criminal complaint, Janesville Police were dispatched to an apartment building on Randolph Road on the report that a homeless man was living in the basement and was in a romantic relationship with a teenager who lived in the building.

Police spoke with Fisher who admitted to meeting the child online and exchanging nude photos with them when they were 14. Fisher told police he had sex with the teen at a number of Janesville hotels as well as in the basement of the apartment building.
