Emerald Grove 148th Memorial Day Observance

The 148th public Memorial Day Observance at 1:30 PM will be held in the Emerald Grove Church at 8127 E Hwy 14, Janesville or listen on FM 89.3 in the parking lot. Featured speaker is Clinton native Craig Nenneman. He is a Marine Reservist which took him all over the country including Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Luann Curtis Luedtke will read the veteran roll call of those buried in Emerald Grove Cemetery. Veteran’s attending will be recognized. Tim O’Grady Jr will provide music. Children and adults may walk to the cemetery (2 blocks) to decorate veterans’ graves with flags and flowers and get a ride back. Cupcakes and ice cream follow the program.
