ON AIR: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30a – 10a (with “Red Hot” Ken Scott)

ABOUT YOU: My true career is as a stylist. I do hair and makeup and was a stylist for ESPN for 15 years, as well as owning a salon in Madison. I have three adult children, so I am an empty nester, which leaves a lot of time for hobbies including my favorite… thrifting!

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE HOBBIES?  I love sports and am an avid supporter of Wisconsin teams. I enjoy doing things around the house including gardening, landscaping, and home improvement projects. Since I started gardening, I’ve gotten into canning as well. I have a love for cooking, baking, and craft cocktails, and always welcome the opportunity to entertain.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN RADIO? I got started in radio in 1998 by doing the hair of the program director for 3 radio stations in Madison, including the old Y105, so I started doing Sunday nights and eventually was the promotion director for all three stations, and moved to middays. I worked there for 5 years and also filled in on WJVL during that time as well. I got away from radio when my youngest child was born, but got called out of retirement in October to come back part time on WJVL.

WHO ARE YOUR FAVORITE COUNTRY ARTISTS? I have a wide range of country artists that I am a big fan of…classics like George Strait, Alan Jackson, Reba, as well as the newcomers like Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Lainey Wilson.

FAVORITE QUOTE? Two of my favorite quotes are: “Be a stiletto in a room full of flats” – author unknown and “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” – Wayne Gretzky
