Bel Canto Singers Spring Concert

3 p.m. concert at the Monroe Arts Center by the Bel Canto Singers, directed by Allen Redford and accompanied by Christina Parkinson. The Monroe High School Chamber Choir, directed by Alex Lentz, will also be featured.
The Bel Canto Singers have a long tradition with the Monroe Arts Center, first performing in the lovely concert hall in 1979. Since then, Bel Canto has grown from a small group of Monroe friends singing madrigals to an accomplished choir from a large stateline area. At the same time, the Monroe Arts Center has grown from a fledgling arts venue to a flourishing center of music, art, theater and arts education in an expanded, accessible facility.
Admission is $10 at the door. Ages 10 and under enter for free. There are no advance ticket sales.
