Beloit Police Chief David Zibolski is one of three finalists for the police chief position in Fargo, North Dakota.

The city’s selection committee announced Zibolski accepted an invitation to a multi-day in-person interview process later this month.

The other finalists include Stacy Kelly of Scottsdale, Arizona and John Franklin from Chicago, Illinois.

Zibolski has been Beloit’s police chief since 2015. In a statement, he called this an opportunity for him to pursue other challenges but does not necessarily mean he is leaving Beloit.

He said he is proud of the work he has helped accomplish over the last five years, and he plans to continue serving Beloit with pride regardless of the outcome of the search.

His interviews with the Fargo selection committee will be live-streamed on the city’s channels and platforms.
