Darius Rucker dropped a new single called “Beers and Sunshine” on Thursday, according to Taste of Country. The new tune was penned with co-writers J.T. Harding, Josh Osborne and Ross Copperman, and was crafted over Zoom during coronavirus quarantine. Copperman also produced the track, which encourages listeners to “turn on the good tap, turn off the TV” because “the only B.S. I need is beers and sunshine.” Rucker talked about the song in a press release, writing, “It’s certainly been a hard year so far with a lot of heaviness around us constantly. Like it says in the song, I don’t know how we fix any of these big, real issues that we’re facing, but while we work through this time, I think it’s important that we find the silver lining where we can really enjoy the little moments and the simple joys of time spent together with friends and family.”

Darius and Luke Bryan join forces for the Grand Ole Opry’s weekly Saturday showcase on August 15.  The performance will be broadcast live on CircleTV starting at 7pm CT, as well as on Circle’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter platforms.
