Jake Owen will try to score his 9th #1 single with a new ballad called “Made for You,” a song about falling in love with a soulmate.
Penned by Benjy Davis, Joey Hyde and Neil Medley, “Made for You” is featured on Jake’s 2019 album, Greetings . . . From Jake, which has already spawned two No. 1 singles, “Homemade” and “I Was Jack (You Were Diane),” as well as Top 10 hit, “Down to the Honkytonk.”
“It’s 100 percent my favorite song that I’ve not only heard in the last little while, but it’s probably going to be one of my favorites I’ve ever recorded,” he says
Michael Ray heard Owen perform “Made For You” in January 2019 at the annual Country Cares for St. Jude event in Memphis. He immediately booked him to sing it as his wedding song during his marriage ceremony with Carly Pearce.
