Walk in the forest under a full moon on this guided hike led by naturalist Dave Bendlin. As he does on other night hikes throughout the year, Dave will attempt to call barred owls and see if they respond, a process that has been successful in the park before.
We will meet at the Welty center where we will start with a brief description of what we hope to see and hear while we will hike in the forest.
The hike will cover 1-2 miles, depending on temperatures and trail conditions. Flashlights will not be needed. Winter months can be cold, so please make sure to wear proper clothing. All ages are welcome. There will be no charge for participating, but donations are appreciated.
